Parks & Recreation
Meetings
The Township Park & Recreation Committee meets the second Thursday of
the month at 6:30pm.
We are currently looking for
interested people to serve on our Park & Recreation Board...
Park Plans
The
VanBuskirk-Haney Park at Ross Township is in good hands with the Park &
Recreation Committee who are diligently pursuing plans with the
assistance of ESU’s Recreation and Leisure Management Services Professor
and students to draft a site plan for the future park. This plan is
slated to be done in phases and when complete will include a park sign,
parking lot, fence, trails, a Veterans Memorial, playground equipment,
pavilions, rest room facilities, a multi purpose field, amphitheater,
benches, wildlife-bird watching area among other things.
This volunteer committee has worked diligently on providing a plan for
the future park for Ross Township. Township Supervisors are now
reviewing this plan and giving it their most careful thoughts on the
best interest for Ross Township residents.
Update
The Ross Township Park and Recreation
Committee continues to work on the park. A new sign has been ordered.
It will read “Ross Township Van Buskirk-Haney Park”.
