Recycle/Trash

Curbside recycling in Ross Township is collected by your trash hauler. The Township provides the containers, which you can pick up at the Municipal Building located on Anchorage Road in Saylorsburg, PA.

       Please bring proof of residency -tax bill, deed, etc...

Clean-up days are held twice a year, one in the spring and the other in the fall. The drop off area is in the rear of the municipal building.

What you CAN bring - metal, tires, automobile batteries, mattresses, and appliances, carpet, furniture, bikes - general trash. *Electronics (Computer Monitors, televisions, printers, telephones, etc) have been excluded because they are not acceptable at the landfill. However the Township has an agreement with Burnley Workshop who will accept Computer monitors at a cost of $5 each and TV's at a cost of $10 each and all other electrical items at no charge.

     There is a charge for tires:

              Car & light truck tires................$4.00 each

               Truck tires..............................$12.00 each

               Tractor tires............................$15.00 each

               All tires on rims are an additional $2.00 each

If you pick up tires along the roads in Ross Township you are permitted to bring them to the cleanup but there will be a minimum charge of $10.00 after one load.

Please do NOT bring -household garbage, yard clippings, construction materials, hazardous chemicals or recyclables, paint cans, sealed or open containers of solvents, paints, thinners, etc...As well as newspapers, cardboard, brush or residue from burn barrels.
